We are pleased to announce the Grand virtual opening of (VVSM) Visions Virtual Shopping Mall ( A Black Woman Owned & Operated Small Business) November 1, 2022. Just in time for the holidays. We spoke with Jaye one of the founders about joining the virtual mall trend and she said "We're not just a black virtual mall... we are a black virtual experience". "We as a culture have so much to offer." She then went on to say "The power of the BLACK dollar is STRONG. If we support our own #blackownedbusinesses we will show ourselves and the world that we are viable contenders in the retail industry." I must say Visions continues to be one of the internet's best kept secrets for unique items that can only be found in their mall. Priding themselves on giving budding entrepreneur's a platform to sell their goods is what makes them unique. Jaye added "It's not just about the money, it's about the representation of the collective black community, and that's why we offer mentoring and sponsorships to assist with startup cost. I have been trying to network with any and everyone just to make our presence know as a unit, it's been challenging but well worth it. Through cross promotion the partnerships we've made on this journey is priceless." More and more large corporations like Amazon and Davids Bridal just to name a few are creating opportunities for small black business to partner with them.. Alquincia Selolwane created the first ever Black Virtual Mall for black owned businesses. She did this during the Covid 19 pandemic and It opened on July 7th 2021. With such grown breaking news; she was also asked to be interviewed by Forbes to discuss the future of e-commerce and what impact she envisions the Black Virtual Mall will have. " It's the future in terms of shopping experiences". She goes on to say that the BVM continues in the path of our traditional malls as it continues to create a convenient source for shopping. One Stop Shopping. I hear it also has a movie theater and a virtual food court that delivers. How cool is that? The key is driving traffic to the site. So tell a friend to tell a friend. In our first sit down I asked what drives you? She said "Some people are SELF MOTIVATED and I'm just one of them". She went on to say "I was always told that you can do anything you set your mind to... I continue to believe it whole heartedly. The Covid 19 pandemic forced us to tap into our creativity, to follow the dreams we've put on hold and to take chances like never before. I envisioned a Black Virtual Mall as a hub for my small business and a platform for other small businesses to get exposure and grow'. If you keep your ears to the street, then you should know that It's happening. So I say Thank you Alquincia Selolwane for paving the way and leaving the door open. She laid the blueprint for other creatives to follow. I personally believe people of color need to network with each other and support each other. Our brands & our stories are important & amazing.
